It is an ester of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and palmitic acid, designed to make Vitamin C lipid-soluble and more stable for use in creams, serums, and emulsions.
Functions & Benefits
Antioxidant: Neutralizes free radicals and protects skin lipids from oxidation (e.g., UV or pollution damage).
Collagen booster: Converts to active ascorbic acid in skin; supports collagen synthesis and firmness.
Skin brightener: Helps fade dark spots and uneven tone by inhibiting melanin formation.
Stabilizer: Protects oils and actives (including Vitamin E) from rancidity and oxidation.
Synergistic with Vitamin E Regenerates oxidized tocopherol → “E + C antioxidant synergy.”
