Keramare™

Source: Derived from the brown algae Cystoseira compressa.

Technology: Embedded in a 3D hydrocolloid matrix made of amylopectin (from corn) for sequential release of actives to the hair shaft.

INCI Name: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Zea Mays Starch, Cystoseira Compressa Extract

Primary Uses in Haircare:

1. Repair & Rebuild Hair Structure

   • Regenerates the internal (cortical) structure of damaged hair.

2. Improve Shine / Appearance

   • Enhances hair’s ability to reflect light, giving glossy shine.

3. Thermal Protection

   • Shields hair from heat damage (e.g., blow-drying, straightening).

4. Long-Lasting Effect

   • Sequential-release matrix allows prolonged contact of actives with hair, improving deposition and efficacy.

5. Strengthening

   • Reinforces the internal structure of the hair fiber.

Typical Usage Rate: 0.5%–5% in hair-strengthening or repairing products.

Recommended Applications:

• Shampoos / cleansing formulas

• Hair masks / treatments (especially for damaged or chemically treated hair)

• Leave-in or rinse-off conditioners
