Flaxseed Oil
Flaxseed oil, also called linseed oil, is a plant oil extracted from flax seeds. It is extremely rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid. It also contains lignans, vitamin E, and antioxidants.

Recommended Usage Levels
Face oils/serums: 5–15%
Hair products: 2–10%
Body creams/butters: 3–15%
Example Product: Nourishing All-Oil Scalp Serum
Great for dry scalp, dandruff, breakage, and hair growth support. Shelf life: 6–9 months (add vitamin E). No preservatives needed.
Formula (%):
Flaxseed oil – 30%
Jamaican black castor oil – 20%
Sweet almond oil – 20%
Neem oil – 2% (optional, strong smell but excellent for dandruff)
Peppermint essential oil – 0.5%
Tea tree essential oil – 0.5%
Vitamin E (Tocopherol) – 0.5%
Argan oil / Sunflower oil (to fill to 100%) – ~26.5%
Instructions
Add all the oils into a clean beaker or bottle.
Mix gently, no heat needed.
Add essential oils and vitamin E last.
Pour into a dropper bottle.
How to Use
Apply a few drops to the scalp 3–4 times a week. Massage for 2–5 minutes to boost circulation. Leave in; no need to rinse.
