Description
Candle pigments are colorants used to dye wax. They come in different forms and behave differently depending on the wax type, such as soy, paraffin, or beeswax.
1. Liquid Candle Dyes
These are the most popular in professional candle making. They are highly concentrated, give bold and even colors, and mix easily into hot wax. Suitable for soy, paraffin, coconut, and beeswax.
Pros: Intense color, easy to blend.
Usage Rates for Liquid Dyes: 0.05–0.2%
Tips for Best Results
Add dye at 70–80°C (for soy wax, 75°C).
Mix well for 1–2 minutes.
Always test burn, as color can affect wick size.
Darker candles often need bigger wicks.
