Emulsifying wax NF (Non-ionic)

Emulsifying wax (non-ionic) is a versatile cosmetic ingredient used to blend oil and water into stable emulsions such as lotions, creams, and conditioners. It acts as the emulsifier and stabilizer, giving products a smooth, consistent texture that doesn’t separate over time.

Being non-ionic means it’s compatible with both cationic and anionic ingredients, making it very versatile in cosmetic formulations.
Functions in Formulations
• Emulsifier – binds water and oil phases into a stable cream or lotion

• Thickener – adds body and smooth texture

Applications

Typical usage rate: 3–10% of total formulation (depending on viscosity desired)
Phase:
• Add to the oil phase of your formulation
• Heat both the oil and water phases to 70–75°C, then blend while mixing continuously
• Cool slowly while stirring until the emulsion stabilizes
