It’s widely used in hydrating, barrier-repair, and sensitive-skin formulations.

Compatible with:

• Niacinamide
• Ceramides
• Hyaluronic acid
• Panthenol
• Alpha hydroxy acids
• Can slightly increase formula electrolyte load (affects carbomer gels)

• Sodium PCA is not a preservative
• Water-based formulas must be preserved
• Stable under normal cosmetic processing
• Hygroscopic therefore store tightly sealed
