Green tea is one of the most loved and well-researched natural ingredients in skincare and haircare.
It offers powerful antioxidant, soothing, and anti-aging benefits — and works beautifully alongside actives like niacinamide, glucosides, and azelaic derivatives.

INCI Name: Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract

Derived from the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis).
It contains a rich blend of bioactives:

Polyphenols (catechins) — especially EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate) → potent antioxidant

Flavonoids & tannins → astringent, anti-inflammatory

Amino acids (theanine) → soothing and moisturizing

Vitamins (B, C, E) and minerals

⚠ Formulation Notes

• Avoid exposure to high heat and direct light, which can degrade polyphenols (turning the product brownish).
• Store in amber or opaque packaging.
• For best antioxidant potency, keep pH around 5–6.

Ingredient

• Distilled Water 80.0%
• Green Tea Extract 3.0%
• Bamboo Extract 3.0%
• Niacinamide 3.0%
• Panthenol 2.0%
• Glycerin 3.0%
• Allantoin 0.3%
• Preservative 0.5%
• pH Adjuster to 5.5–6.0

Procedure:

1. Combine all ingredients at room temperature, stirring gently.

2. Check clarity and pH; adjust to 5.5–6.0.

3. Bottle in an amber glass essence container.

Result:
A lightweight, cooling essence that hydrates, soothes, and controls oil, leaving skin calm and refreshed.
